English/ Ukrainian Interpreter

Your responsibilities

• Providing accurate and timely translation services between English and Ukrainian:  on-site interpretation services and written translations, as required, for military trainings delivered to the armed forces
• Providing informal interpretation services between English and Ukrainian during training sessions, meetings at a military facility (NOT conference interpreting).
• Applying and maintaining approved terminology across translated documents.
• Accepting and implementing reviewer/editor feedback to deliver final translations.
• Cooperating with military personnel to support accurate international cooperation.

Our requirements

• Minimum of 3 year of experience in translation/interpretation services.
• Document confirming knowledge of English – B1/B2 or higher (TOEIC certificate (750+ points) or equivalent will be an additional advantage)
• Document confirming knowledge of Ukrainian- B2/C1 or native speaker

• No criminal record
• Very good physical fitness
• Flexibility to shift work.
• Typing and computer skills.

Optional

• Higher education diplomaExperience working in an international military environment, familiarity with military terminology and protocols.
• Experience working in multinational teams or supporting multilingual communications in official or formal contexts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within international teams
• Valid NATO Secret clearance or ability to obtain one within a short period of time after being notified of a selection for the translator position.
